This two-family house in Altstetten lies at the end of a small street and consists of two maisonette apartments. The project’s spatial concept is simple and clearly legible from outside: the two apartments sit one on top of the other; the apartment on top has a roof terrace, the one below a garden. The house was constructed entirely using a prefabricated timber construction method. The pre-weathered Canadian cedar cladding shows clearly how elegant a material wood can be. Panorama windows allow stunning views of the city.
